Funny thing but I found this lying in my drafts … please enjoy the old-ish links. Hope you are all having a lovely week and hopefully the next one starts on a positive note.

  1. The economics behind standing in line. Who knew?
  2. Things ARE looking up in the Development world.
  3. Practical and very thoughtful approach to Development (please also look through the comments)
  4. Quantifying the sacrifices given up at Lent
  5. The next time you want to like sad news on social media (little hint: Don’t. Never. It’s not a good idea)
  6. Please read this for the comments and the shade. Yoh! the shade
  7. Double whammy! Black and a female economist!
  8. Women and negotiation. Damned if you, damned if you don’t
  9. Recipes to try this week: Chocolate cake, Cardamon crumb cake, Lentil and rice salad

Enjoy and please feel free to leave comments with interesting stuff you read this week.

This weekends’ menu

We had some guests over this past weekend at the house to thank them for their support during the wedding. Below see the menu we prepared.

Cardamon chicken curry

Lentil and Butternut curry

Jeera rice

Green spring vegetable thoran

Sweet potato casserole

I was going for an Indian theme and then my sister and nephew twisted me to make the sweet potato casserole for them. Also, thank God for sisters, halfway through cooking, we experienced a power cut and none of the food was ready. We considered pizza but with no entertainment at ours, we quickly shifted base to my sister’s house that is down the road from ours.
