words only my parents use

Disclaimer: These are probably common English words but I have only ever heard my parents use them.

galavant – as in walk around aimlessly or roam about.

hullabaloo – as in loud protesting noise.

riot –¬†as in to go out

What other things do your parents or the olds or the folks say that tickles you to no bit?
