This weekends’ menu

We had some guests over this past weekend at the house to thank them for their support during the wedding. Below see the menu we prepared.

Cardamon chicken curry

Lentil and Butternut curry

Jeera rice

Green spring vegetable thoran

Sweet potato casserole

I was going for an Indian theme and then my sister and nephew twisted me to make the sweet potato casserole for them. Also, thank God for sisters, halfway through cooking, we experienced a power cut and none of the food was ready. We considered pizza but with no entertainment at ours, we quickly shifted base to my sister’s house that is down the road from ours.

Two chicken dishes from this month

As I now live with a meat eater, I occasionally, all the time 🙂 , have to make meat dishes and these are two that wowed this month.

Chicken Cacciatore served with rice and a tomato/ onion salsa

Oven BBQ Chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables
